"My work focuses on temporary structures – specifically, the interplay of fleeting light and architectural space. This engagement with everyday moments results in site-specific drawing interventions, paintings of windows, and photo-based ‘maps’ of the passage of time or movement through space. Implicit throughout is the assumption that attention to nuance and particularity will be rewarded by discovery.

My current work uses the framework of the window to examine the expectations and desires that surround the idea of a ‘view’. I am interested in the window as a liminal space that challenges us to negotiate perception and projection. Through repetition, cropping, mirroring, and erasing, the work destabilizes the familiar, shifting the focus from the actual view to the activity and experience of viewing. My goal is to create a subtle rupture in the manner in which we locate ourselves visually, subjectively, and contextually. This heightened sensitivity to the in-between opens up a space for negotiation between experience and knowledge, the conceptual and the sensory, that is vital to my work."
